Vancouver, BC - August 25th, 2020 - Vancouver Synth Pop artist Elle Wolf, has released her second single since trading in her acoustic guitar for synthesizers when she fell down the rabbit hole of electronic music in the spring of 2019. “Disappear” is being released along with an official music video, created by Jared Popescu producer and owner of The Grey Lands stop motion and animation production company. “Disappear” was recorded in the spring of 2020 in Vancouver, BC at Fiend Recording Studio. It was produced, engineered and mixed by Cody Taylor and mastered by Elisa Pangsaeng of CPS Mastering.
Elle Wolf wrote “Disappear” in the summer of 2019 for herself in order to make herself stop doubting her own strength when things became tough. Switching instruments and genres wasn’t an easy transition, but one Wolf had been itching towards for years. Finally after making the jump, she came across huge mountains to climb and challenges she wasn’t sure she could defeat. Wolf wrote this song when she thought she couldn’t do it, couldn’t make things work, couldn’t play the songs spinning in her head. She wrote this song as her ego, speaking in sarcasm and sass, asked her things like, “tell me, is it tough? Tell me, do you work hard darling” with a raised eyebrow and a shake of the head. “No more stabbing in the dark, I don’t want to hurt your heart dear”, are all just words to stop feeling sorry for herself, to pick herself up and work harder, try harder and keep going.
“Disappear” is an electric, 80s inspired, synth heavy, dance track about pushing yourself to achieve greatness. Everyone is capable of reaching their goals and this track will be the theme song while you fight for them.
